Angi Cotton, Director of State and Federal Compliance
Nominated by Dr. Alexis Neumann:
“Sometimes the biggest jobs are not ones we see every day. But Angi Cotton takes on the tasks that are critical to our district. Whether she is helping manage TIA to get our teacher more $, ensuring that our staff and students have the curriculum they need, or even battling accountability and state testing - she always does so with a smile and a Can Do attitude. She absolutely leads with an Every Raven Every Day mentality.”
Lorraine Allen, Teaching Assistant
Nominated by Kandra Toliver:
"Mrs. Allen jumps in wherever she is needed with a smile on her face. She comes in early and leaves late every day. She engages with our students making sure that every one of them is seen and heard and takes it upon herself to make sure we all feel loved. She is for EVERY Raven, rather Big or Small."
Megan Howard, 4th Grade Teacher
Nominated by Anna Stoker:
"I like her class and the way she helps kids find their own opinions."
Kylie McKenzie, 7th Grade Science Teacher
Nominated by Jazleen Botello & Emelia Palacios:
"She is funny and always helps when I need help."
"She is a very good teacher. She's funny but also knows when to put her foot down. Ms. McKenzie is always kind even when you are being difficult. She always knows how to sprinkle some humor in a bad situation. She has been here for 2 years and has definitely made the most of it."
Turmaine Rice, HS Basketball Coach
Nominated by David Tran:
"Coach Rice ensures that each individual player is physically and mentally tapped into the game every day. NO OFF DAYS! He has the same attitude and goal in mind that he reminds us of daily: San Antonio, and we finally made it! Apart from being a hard-working coach every day he also appreciates the playful aspect of sports and genuinely enjoys hanging out with us when we're not super locked in on practice. He is a really fun, and a really focused person."
